Polyester is much heavier than urethane foam making it harder
to work with. However
when a durable, strong, long lasting or vandal resistant sign is
required it is worth every cent.
 |
|
The combined weight
of these two is in excess of 350lbs. And they are swinging.
We never managed to do
that with more than one man using a redwood sign. Yes it would take the
weight but not the swinging,
That's what a cast
polyester street sign will do for you. |
This Town was having a vandalism problem in some areas, so we made a master from
urethane foam and cast it in polyester each of these are
36"x 60"x 1'. |

 |
| Although the body of this sign is sandblasted urethane foam,
(because it was required to be much smaller than the 3'x5's
above) the circular town seal in the
center is polyester, it is so detailed that we made one really good one, and from that we
cast them whenever they are needed . |

Polyester makes great Street blades
especially when we cast threaded rod through them so they can be bolted onto a post. |
