 Hand gilding is an art and is not absolutely perfect, expect what are known as holidays ( small imperfections, dots etc).

Look at the 4 pictures of this sign below and you will see what we deem as acceptable.

	48x55" approx full sign
	zoom part way.   approx 2ft from sign
	what appears to be dust is pine pollen, you can see yellow showing through in a couple of places. Yellow is what we use as a base color before sizing.
	Here you can clearly see yellow fractures (they are called holidays), dots and lines. This is perfectly normal. If you look at all of our gilt signs in this web site they all look great from a few feet away but they all also have Holidays
