Shape Recognition in Subdivision signage

People recognize and react to shapes when reading, think about it you rarely spell anything out, so if you want your visitors to navigate easily around your subdivision or community it is important to create a theme and stay with it.

Subdivision and community signs can be different sizes but the sign shape should stay the same as well as the color scheme.

The font or letter style used for the subdivision and community signs should always be easy to read.

If you don't have all three go back and start your sub division or community signs again. It isn't the most beautiful sign that works best its the one with CCL.

Please don't think you are being lectured here. Over the years we have seen so many subdivision signage disasters, We don't want you to be responsible for wasting other peoples money.

You wouldn't want your foot doctor performing neurosurgery on you, would you? So please don't assume that just because someone has a graphics degree they know how to design signs that work. Its much more specialized than you would imagine. Integrating C.C.L. with style and form recognition in any sign plan is important.

Would you want to see any of your subdivision or community signs spelt  incorrectly? Of course not, so don't make similar mistakes by doing things like using all uppercase script. It is ALWAYS wrong
