Double sided sandblasted sign  with partial appliqué on graphic, treated wood oval & posts.
(The white string at the top of the photo is holding a balloon).
We blasted this background with the grain effect but not inside the letters.
It gives a pleasing textural effect.
Custom sandblasted sign to match larger cast polyester signs (as this building may have its use changed in the future the name has been lettered in vinyl)

If you are limited in size, or by design restrictions 23k. gold  or copper really makes a sign sing!

The starburst on this church sign is gold leaf  unfortunately not being a professional photographer I can't do it justice

sandblasted sign

Only the center panel is sandblasted
the rest is redwood & HDO (all of the molding is heart redwood and was made in our shop). The roof is copper
When this photo was taken the sign was 5 years old
When  they get to landscape this the way it was designed. With enough shrubs to soften the harsh white of the posts it should look very effective.
The panels are plexi, held in place with machine screws that screw into metal threaded inserts to allow for a quick and easy change

Community and development signage (urethane foam)

twinh1.jpg (80579 bytes) new br main2.jpg (72578 bytes) new br sml.jpg (92311 bytes) new br island.jpg (73315 bytes) plant_birk2.JPG (51078 bytes)

These were blasted on several levels To create differing heights of texture. The purple lettering is vinyl & the rest was either airbrushed or painted

Sandblasted stone texture background with separated gold leaf outline on the 2 larger signs. The one on the right is 5.5ins. thick to contain the posts inside (it will also have a stone base when the landscaping is finished).

Simple sandblasted sign job.

Various business signage (urethane foam)

Sandblasting, air brushing hand lettering and copper leaf

S/blasted with a faux marble face.
It won an award from the ESSC (now the USSC)

This customer wanted one of our cast Derwent signs, but of a different size. So we blasted this using our own artificial wood grain method

8' x 6' x 2.5' this was quite an undertaking I wanted to complement the building that the sign is announcing. The columns are PVC pipe all the rest is urethane foam from the base up.

The ordinance only allows a small sign so I had to make it different. This is six individual s/blasted pieces (2 sides & 4 dogs). The posts are 2"x10"s doubled and set at an angle then cut to the same shape as the dogs. This works very well  Dk. green & gold is always eye catching A lot of swirled gold leaf makes for a very distinctive yet dignified sign
shel clark.jpg (50501 bytes) denkers1.jpg (63845 bytes) BONVIL1.jpg (83318 bytes) davis hs.jpg (34563 bytes)

This is a temporary sign, but it still had to portray a professional image.

This is one of my favorites, I wanted to create the illusion of a very simple sign floating.

Gold & Copper leaf with removable panels (using metal inserts imbedded in the sign)

This double faced house sign shows the stone texture achieved when HDU is blasted

Various business signage (Wood)

asianb.jpg (53419 bytes) jordan5.jpg (67099 bytes) jordan12.jpg (44944 bytes) jordan7.jpg (70650 bytes)
The customer wanted something very rustic. Its got  17 coats of spar varnish on it.
This was taken when it was new, in the first few months the cedar darkened increasing the contrast
Two single faced signs each 6' x14' x 2".
This photo doesn't do the Vertical grain justice! I test blasted each end of each piece of wood, so I could see the grain before joining them.  That way there weren't any sudden changes in the grain leaving ugly lines across the signs.

The lack of contrast is deliberate. These panels were built into walls & desks. Again the  photo doesn't do the detail justice!

Another shot of the Jordan signs
