Boat and Marina Signs
The important thing to remember about boat signage is that any sign near water is going to take a lot more beating from the sun than normal signs.
Traditionally boats were lettered by hand with lead-based paints that held up very well, nowadays there aren't that many artists around capable of lettering boats well, but with the advent of computer-generated graphics that isn't a problem.
The best grade of vinyl available (high performance) does a good job and lasts well.
A problem is digital printing; many sign companies are using digital prints for everything.
The vast majority of digital printers produce a product that will last no more than 2-3 years in bright sunshine. Even when they are laminated 4-5 years is as long you can expect on a sign in full sun to last away from the water. On the water, it won't last that long.
Classic Signs can create your boat sign and ship it to you with easy instructions on how to install it yourself, or we can arrange to have it professionally installed locally.
Marina Signs
Just like boat signs. marina signs if near water needs to be High-Performance vinyl and not digital prints. For the entrance sign and the directional signage within the marina, some form of dimensional signage is always good for making the subtle statement that this is a well maintained, professional marina and doesn't come over as flashy in any way.
